As you’ve probably read in the introduction, the nearest train stations are Bugis and Esplanade MRT stations.

Bugis MRT station is the closest to the property, being just a 3-minute walk away. Bugis MRT station services the East-West Line and Downtown Line. Via the East-West Line, you’re just two stops to Raffles Place MRT station. If you work in the Central Business District, staying at The M would be extremely convenient even if you don’t drive. As for the Downtown Line, you’re two stops away to Little India, where you can connect with the North-East Line.

Esplanade MRT station is a 7-minute walk away. By heading to the Esplanade MRT station, you can immediately access the Circle Line. From Esplanade, take two train stops to reach Dhoby Ghaut interchange where you can take the North-South and North-East Lines.

Buses

To access the buses near the property, we suggest that you take a 3-minute walk to the bus stop at Bugis Cube (Stop ID: 01039). That particular bus stop has 12 buses servicing the area! We will name a few to give you an idea of the routes available for you to take.

Bus 7 stops by Singapore Management University, YMCA, and Somerset Station. It also passes by the Singapore Botanic Gardens, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and ends its route at Clementi Interchange.

Bus 32 takes you to City Hall Station Exit B, Clarke Quay, and Queenstown Primary School. As for bus 51, you can hop on the bus to get to Boat Quay, Gan Eng Seng Secondary School, and Queenstown Polyclinic.

Bugis Junction

Grocery

You’re just a 7-minute walk from The M to Cold Storage located in Bugis Junction. A drive will take a short three minutes! If you’re a fan of Korean food and products, we recommend you to take a 6-minute walk or 3-minute drive to Shine Korea at 231 Bain Street. Other options include Market Place by Jasons located in Raffles City Tower.

Shopping

The options are plenty at Bugis! From The M, walk about three minutes to Bugis Cube or Bugis Junction. Bugis Cube is a smaller shopping mall right beside the condominium. If you want a variety to choose from, then Bugis Junction should do the trick. Bugis Junction has fashion brands like Aldo, Fred Perry, and GUESS Accessories. It also has Levi’s, Lovisa, and Pazzion.

You can also consider walking over to Bugis+ via the overhead bridge from Bugis Junction. You can find Bershka, Timberland, and Uniqlo at the mall with other global chain stores, casual eateries, a cinema, and a pool hall. If you’re not so particular about brands, then Bugis Street will be a perfect place where you can hunt for cheap buys.

Services

Considering the proximity to The M, you can run your errands at one of the shopping malls mentioned above. Bugis Junction has several ATMs located within the mall. There are also telecommunication operators like M1, Singtel, and Starhub. You will also find money exchangers, a floral shop, and Q & M Dental Centre (Bugis).

3. Food options

Oh my, if we get started with the food options at Bugis, we’re afraid we don’t know where to stop. This is because The M is surrounded by tons of eateries and restaurants you will be glad to know.

For snacks and street food, just walk through Bugis Street for a range of options. As you exit Bugis Street, you will see Albert Hawker Centre at the back. Albert Hawker Centre has a range of local food you won’t get bored of! The only downside is the outdoor seatings so brace the heat if you want affordable and good food.

If not, you can always fall back on the options in the shopping malls. Bugis+ has Astons Specialties, Bangkok Jam, and Fish & Co. It also has Genki Sushi, Seoul Yummy, and Starbucks. Milk tea options include KOI and LiHo, just to name a few.

As for Bugis Junction, there’s Ajisen Ramen, Crystal Jade, and Food Junction. There are bakeries like Four Leaves, BreadTalk, and Polar Puffs & Cakes. You can also enjoy fast food options like KFC, McDonald’s, and Subway.
