As you can probably see from the graphic above, Sixth Avenue MRT station is two train stops away from Botanic Gardens interchange. From there, you can connect with the Circle Line to get to Bishan MRT station (North-South Line) or Buona Vista MRT station (East-West Line).
You may also take five train stops down to get to Little India MRT station. At Little India MRT station, you can transfer to the North-East Line. By staying at Fourth Avenue Residences, your access to the train stations is as easy as it can get.
Buses
The closest bus stop from Fourth Avenue Residences is the one at Sixth Ave Station (Stop ID: 41081), which is approximately a 5-minute walk away. From there, there are tons of bus routes that can take you to your destinations. To be exact, there are 14 buses! Let’s take a look at a few routes.
Bus 66 stops by King Albert Park, Pei Hwa Presby Primary School, and opposite Bukit View Secondary School. It also gets you to opposite the Singapore Science Centre before stopping at Jurong East temporary interchange.
Bus 74 bound for Buona Vista Terminal drops by schools like Ngee Ann Polytechnic, SIM HQ, and Fairfield Methodist Primary School. Take from the opposite direction (Stop ID: 41081) if you want to hop on the same bus to Coronation Plaza, The Japanese Association, and MacRitchie Reservoir.
For bus 151, you can get to Yale-NUS College and NUS Faculty of Architect. Take from the opposite direction if you want to drop by Raffles Town Club, Catholic Junior College, and Hougang Central interchange.
2. Grocery, shopping and services
Grocery
Apart from its close vicinity to the train stations and bus stops, Fourth Avenue Residences is also extremely close to the grocery store. You can take a short 2-minute drive or 8-minute walk to Cold Storage at Guthrie House.
If you prefer to shop at FairPrice, go ahead! It’s only a 6-minute drive to the FairPrice Finest located within Bukit Timah Plaza. Drive a little further if you want to get your weekly groceries at Giant Supermarket in Beauty World Centre. Other options include German Market Place, which is a 9-minute car ride from the condominium.
Shopping
Shopping malls not too far away from Fourth Avenue Residences include – Coronation Shopping Plaza, King’s Arcade Shopping Centre, KAP Mall, Bukit Timah Plaza, Bukit Timah Shopping Centre, and Beauty World Plaza.
But for a wide range of shops, we recommend that you take a drive to the Jurong East area. Jurong East is about a 10- to 15-minute drive from the property and has shopping malls situated very close to each other – Jcube, JEM, Westgate, and IMM.
JEM, Westgate, and IMM shopping malls are interlinked with sheltered walkways so you can park your vehicle at any one mall and walk your way to either or all of the malls.
JEM has fashion stores like Benjamin Barker, Dorothy Perkins, MANGO, and Uniqlo. While Westgate has Bata, Bonia, Calvin Klein Jeans, and Pandora. Looking for more options? Walk over conveniently via the overhead bridge linking Ng Teng Fong General Hospital from Westgate to get to IMM.
Services
You can run some errands with the shopping mall options closer to home. For example, Bukit Timah Shopping Centre has ExcelPrint Photocopy & Printing located within the building for your printing needs. There’s also an OCBC Bank branch at level one.
But if you’re planning to shop and get some errands done at the same time, we highly recommend you to go to one of the malls at Jurong East. IMM has a money changer, a floral shop, and laundry shop. Singapore Pools is located at level two of the mall.
3. Food options
Need to settle a quick lunch or take away some food from the coffee shop? Take an 8-minute walk or 2-minute drive from Fourth Avenue Residences to Kopitown at 10E Sixth Avenue. The area surrounding the coffee shop also has options like Brazil Churrasco, Lazy Lizard Sixth Ave, and Indian Curry House.
There are also several options within a 5-minute walk – The Living Cafe and Caruso (Italian restaurant) along Bukit Timah Road. Craving for pasta? It’s available at Pasta Fresca Da Salvatore (Bukit Timah) in Guthrie House.
We also recommend that you take a 7-minute drive from Fourth Avenue Residences to the treats along Cheong Chin Nam Road. Along the road, you will find eateries like Al-Azhar Restaurant, G7 Sinma Claypot, and Lao Jiang Superior Soup.
Domino’s Pizza and Korean restaurants such as Three Meals A Day and Oven & Fried Chicken are just around the corner, along Chun Tin Road. If you’re driving, you can park your car along Cheong Chin Nam Road. But it gets quite packed in the evenings so we recommend parking at Jalan Seh Chuan Car Park instead.
To soak in the weekend cafe vibes, Lorong Kilat has it all. Revelry, The Signature Patisserie, and Carpenter & Cook are highly rated by the public so give it a try. You can also have your ice cream fix at Udders Ice Cream (Lorong Kilat). Prefer to cook some Korean cuisines yourself? Get your ingredients from Koryo Mart, at 17 Lorong Kilat.

Though a slightly further drive away, Singapore Botanic Gardens and Chinese Garden are also alternatives for a change of view and exercise routine. Just remember to slap on enough sunscreen if you’re heading there during the day and spray on some mosquito repellent.
For recreational activities, take a drive to The Cage Sports Park along 220 Turf Club Road for a soccer session with the buddies. If not, Premier Pitch Indoor located within The Grandstand is also another option. We think the Singapore Island Country Club (Bukit Location) makes a good place to hone your golf skills too.
Draft Master Plan for Bukit Timah (2019)
A master plan is a guide that strategizes the development of land and property in a specific area at least for the next 10 years. The Urban Redevelopment Authority (URA) has announced the draft master plan specifically for Bukit Timah in 2019, which will benefit you if you’re planning to get a unit at Fourth Avenue Residences.

Plans are in for a skypark above the Bukit Timah Canal between Rifle Range Road and Sixth Avenue. This is part of the 11km corridor linking the rail corridor to Kallang Riverside Park.
Upgrades to Bukit Timah Railway Station
Residents of Bukit Timah can look forward to new developments at the well-conserved historical landmark previously owned by Keretapi Tanah Melayu (KTM). The upgrades will serve as a gateway to the rail corridor.
