Train stations
As we’ve briefly stated in the introduction, the nearest train station from Daintree Residence is Beauty World MRT station. It’s about 600m away and a 7-minute walk will take you there.
Beauty World MRT station links you to the Downtown Line. You will be four stops away to the Circle Line. From Botanic Gardens MRT station (Circle Line), you can choose to travel towards Harbourfront or Marina Bay. Both routes allow you to be connected with the East-West Line and North-South Line respectively.
Buses
You will find yourself conveniently just steps away from the bus stop after Jalan Jurong Kechil (Stop ID: 42239). Three buses service the area – 41, 77, and 173.
We did a quick check on the bus routes to see where you can get to after hopping on those buses. Bus 41 takes you to Jurong East Temporary Interchange. Bus 77 bound for Bukit Batok interchange stops by Keming Primary School. As for bus 173, it stops by Clementi Interchange and Nan Hua Primary School.
For more bus options, you can take a 3-minute walk from Daintree Residence to the main road along Jalan Jurong Kechil to reach the bus stop at block 18 (Stop ID: 42161). There are a total of 11 buses servicing the area from that particular bus stop.
2. Grocery, shopping and services
Grocery
The nearest supermarket from Daintree Residence is Giant Supermarket, located within Beauty World Centre. It is only a 4-minute drive away!
Or if you prefer, you can also drop by FairPrice Finest at Bukit Timah Plaza for your weekly grocery shopping. It’s about a 6-minute drive away. Cold Storage located in Sime Darby Centre also takes about the same distance.
Shopping
Shopping malls not too far away from Daintree Residence include – Bukit Timah Shopping Centre, Beauty World Centre, Beauty World Plaza, Bukit Timah Plaza, and KAP Mall.
For a wide range of shops and a better shopping experience, we recommend that you take a drive to the Jurong East area. Jurong East is about a 10-minute drive from the property and has shopping malls situated very close to each other – Jcube, JEM, Westgate, and IMM.
JEM, Westgate, and IMM shopping malls are interlinked with sheltered walkways so you can park your vehicle at any one mall and walk your way through the malls.
JEM has fashion stores like Benjamin Barker, Dorothy Perkins, MANGO, and Uniqlo. While Westgate has Bata, Bonia, Calvin Klein Jeans, and Pandora. Looking for more options? Walk over conveniently via the overhead bridge linking Ng Teng Fong General Hospital from Westgate to get to IMM.
Services
You can run your errands at the shopping malls closer to home. For example, Bukit Timah Shopping Centre has ExcelPrint Photocopy & Printing located within the building for your printing needs. There’s also an OCBC Bank branch at level one.
But if you’re planning to shop and get some errands done at the same time, we suggest that you head to one of the malls at Jurong East. IMM has a money changer, a floral shop, and laundry shop. Singapore Pools is located at level two of the mall.
3. Food options
By staying at Daintree Residence, there is no lack of food options. The food offerings along Cheong Chin Nam Road is to die for. It’s less than a 5-minute drive or 15-minute walk from home. Along the street, you will find eateries like Al-Azhar Restaurant, G7 Sinma Claypot, and Lao Jiang Superior Soup.
Domino’s Pizza and Korean restaurants such as Three Meals A Day and Oven & Fried Chicken are just around the corner, along Chun Tin Road. If you’re driving, you can park your car along Cheong Chin Nam Road. If you can’t get a lot, try parking at Jalan Seh Chuan Car Park instead.
To soak in the weekend cafe vibes, Lorong Kilat has it all. Revelry, The Signature Patisserie, and Carpenter & Cook are highly rated by the public so give it a try. You can also have your ice cream fix at Udders Ice Cream (Lorong Kilat). Prefer to cook some Korean cuisines yourself? Get your ingredients from Koryo Mart, at 17 Lorong Kilat.
And how can we forget the Bukit Timah Market & Food Centre? It’s a mere 8-minute walk away from Daintree Residence! Head to the food centre if you don’t mind the outdoor seating areas. There are local foods like satay bee hoon, fried carrot cake, and fried Hokkien mee. There’s also a wet market if you want to get the freshest meat and vegetables from local vendors.

5. Parks and recreation
You will find yourself about a 5-minute drive to two large green spaces from Daintree Residence – Bukit Batok Nature Park and Bukit Timah Nature Reserve.
There are proper pathways for you to take a walk or run at Bukit Batok Nature Park. There’s also a playground for the kids, a pond, and a fitness area. The Bukit Batok WWII Memorial is also located within the area.
As for Bukit Timah Nature Reserve, head there if you want a challenging workout up the Bukit Timah Hill. If not, tackle the long trails in the nature reserve. You will also find Temasek Club located within Bukit Timah Nature Reserve. There are several sports facilities you can use, recreational rooms like karaoke, and club events to participate in.
Though a slightly further drive away, Singapore Botanic Gardens and Chinese Garden are also alternatives for adventures away from home. Just remember to slap on enough sunscreen if you’re heading there during the day and spray on some mosquito repellent.
For recreational activities, take a drive to The Cage Sports Park along 220 Turf Club Road for a soccer session with the buddies. If not, Premier Pitch Indoor located within The Grandstand is also another option. The Singapore Island Country Club (Bukit Location) makes a good place to hone your golf skills too.
Draft Master Plan for Bukit Timah (2019)
A master plan is a guide that strategizes the development of land and property in a specific area at least for the next 10 years.
The Urban Redevelopment Authority (URA) has announced the draft master plan specifically for Bukit Timah in 2019, which will benefit you if you’re planning to get a unit at Daintree Residence.

Plans are in for a skypark above the Bukit Timah Canal between Rifle Range Road and Sixth Avenue. This is part of the 11km corridor linking the rail corridor to Kallang Riverside Park.
