Train stations
As mentioned earlier, Midtown Bay is extremely close to the train station – Bugis MRT station. In fact, apart from Bugis MRT station, it’s also walking distance to Esplanade MRT station.
Bugis MRT station services the East-West Line and Downtown Line. Via the East-West Line, you’re just two stops to Raffles Place MRT station. If you work in the Central Business District, staying at Midtown Bay would be extremely convenient even if you don’t drive. As for the Downtown Line, you’re two stops away to Little India, where you can connect with the North-East Line.
Esplanade MRT station is a 7-minute walk away. By heading to the Esplanade MRT station, you can immediately access the Circle Line. From Esplanade, take two train stops to reach Dhoby Ghaut interchange where you can take the North-South and North-East Lines.

To hop on a bus to your destination, you’re simply steps from the bus stop at Shaw Towers (Stop ID: 01629). The particular bus stop has six buses servicing the area – 57, 100, 107, 107M, 961, and 961M. Let’s take a look at a few routes.
Bus 57 bound for Bukit Merah interchange stops by Esplanade Station Exit F, One Raffles Quay, and opposite the AXA Tower. It also passes by HarbourFront Station/Vivocity, Telok Blangah Station, and Alexandra Point.
As for bus 100, it drops by opposite the Singapore Cricket Club, UIC Building, and Queenstown Polyclinic. You can also take from the opposite direction to get to Golden Mile Complex, Kallang Station, and Canossa Convent Primary School.

2. Grocery, shopping, and services
Grocery
You’re just a 3-minute walk from Midtown Bay to Cold Storage located in Bugis Junction. Even if you choose not to drive, you can still get to the supermarket comfortably in no time!
For fans of Korean food and products, we recommend you to take a 9-minute walk or 2-minute drive to Shine Korea at 231 Bain Street. Other options include La Mexicana – Tortilleria & Grocery Shop at CHIJMES and Market Place by Jasons located in Raffles City Tower.
Shopping
The options are plenty at Bugis! From Midtown Bay, take a short walk to Bugis Cube or Bugis Junction. Bugis Cube is a smaller shopping mall opposite Bugis Junction. If you want a variety to choose from, then Bugis Junction should do the trick. Bugis Junction has fashion brands like Aldo, Fred Perry, and GUESS Accessories. It also has Levi’s, Lovisa, and Pazzion.
You can also consider walking over to Bugis+ via the overhead bridge from Bugis Junction. You can find Bershka, Timberland, and Uniqlo at the mall with other global chain stores, casual eateries, a cinema, and a pool hall. If you’re not so particular about brands, then Bugis Street will be a perfect place where you can hunt for cheap buys.
Services
Considering the proximity to Midtown Bay, you can run your errands at one of the shopping malls mentioned above. Bugis Junction has several ATMs located within the mall. There are also telecommunication operators like M1, Singtel, and Starhub. You will also find money exchangers, a floral shop, and Q & M Dental Centre (Bugis).
3. Food options
Once we get started with the food options at Bugis, we’re afraid we don’t know where to stop. This is because Midtown Bay is surrounded by plenty of eateries and restaurants you probably won’t get tired of.
For snacks and street food, just walk through Bugis Street for a range of options. As you exit Bugis Street, you will see Albert Hawker Centre at the back. Albert Hawker Centre has a range of local food like Hainanese chicken rice, nasi lemak, and yong tau foo, just to name a few. Brace the heat if you want affordable and good food!
If not, you can always fall back on the options in the shopping malls. Bugis+ has Astons Specialties, Bangkok Jam, and Fish & Co. It also has Genki Sushi, Seoul Yummy, and Starbucks. Milk tea options include KOI and LiHo.
As for Bugis Junction, there’s Ajisen Ramen, Crystal Jade, and Food Junction. There are bakeries like Four Leaves, BreadTalk, and Polar Puffs & Cakes. You can also enjoy fast food options like KFC, McDonald’s, and Subway. Honestly, we’re just touching the surface by naming some.
