AMO Residences, along Ang Mo Kio Avenue 1, attracted 15 bids and the top bid of $381.38 million ($1,118 psf per plot ratio) was awarded to United Venture Development, a joint venture (JV) between UOL Group, Singapore Land Group, and Kheng Leong. The new development comes with 2 blocks of 25-storey of 372 units, capitalising on the unblocked views towards Bishan-Ang Mo Kio Park and Lower Pierce Reservoir Park. “It is a timely replenishment for our landbank, given that Avenue South Residence and Clavon are more than 65% and 80% sold respectively,” says Jesline Goh, UOL chief investment and asset officer.

1. Accessibility to public transports
MRT stations
As we’ve briefly mentioned in the introduction, AMO Residences is very near to Mayflower MRT station on the Thomson-East Coast Line. AMO Residences is only 4 min walk to MayFlower MRT.
Bus stops
There are a couple of bus services like 169, 132, 165, 166, 262 at the bus stop along Ang Mo Kio Avenue 1. You can hop on to bus to take you to a few destination like Thomson, Shunfu estate, Hougang and from Yishun to Woodlands. And the bus is only 10 min ride to Novena, United Square and it goes to Clarke Quay as well.
2. Schools and education centres

3. Shopping malls
You can choose to travel to either of the three of major shopping malls within short distances – Ang Mo Kio Hub, Junction 8 or Thomson Plaza. These malls have very good varieties of the necessities and all you need to shop.
There are smaller neighbourhood shopping areas near AMO Residences to consider – Jubilee Square, Dijitsun Mall, Midview City, Bishan North Shopping Mall, to name a few.
If you’re well-versed with district 20, Junction 8 shouldn’t be a stranger. However, if you’re moving to district 20 for the first time, it’s good to know that the shopping mall has almost everything you will ever need.
There are bakeries like BreadTalk and Bengawan Solo, dessert options like Chateraise and Dessertstory, and FairPrice Finest supermarket in the basement of the building.
Since it is located in Bishan Town Centre where the train station and bus interchange is at, do expect to see crowds no matter the time of the day.
4. Food options
On days where you prefer not to head to shopping malls to get your meals, you will be glad to know that there’s Mayflower Market & Food Centre at Blk 160 Ang Mo Kio Avenue 4 and Kebun Baru Market & Food Centre at Blk 226D Ang Mo Kio Avenue 1, a short distance from AMO Residences. For even nearer distance, plenty of coffee shops at the HDB neighbourhoods like the ones at Blk 107 and Blk 111 does have very good food.
There are also several cafes and eateries along Upper Thomson Road, which is about a less than 10-minute drive from AMO Residences condominium. You can have your morning coffee at Pacamara Boutique Coffee Roasters, spicy tom yam at E-SARN Thai Corner, or organize a pizza party at Peperoni Pizzeria @ Thomson.
5. Public parks
Bishan-Ang Mo Kio Park
AMO Residence is located just opposite Bishan-Ang Mo Kio Park. If you decide to stroll your way there, it will take just about 5 minutes to cross over Ang Mo Kio Avenue 1.
There are proper walking tracks and a playground for kids. Your furry companions will also be able to tread freely at the designated Bishan Park – Dog Run Area. You will probably have the chance to meet other pet owners and exchange some tips during peak hours!
Canopy Garden Dining and McDonald’s Bishan Park are some food options located within Bishan-Ang Mo Kio Park and near to carpark A.
Venus Treetop Walk
For a good workout session, you can start your hiking adventure from Venus Treetop Walk Trailhead which is about 20 minutes by foot from AMO Residences.

MacRitchie Reservoir
MacRitchie Reservoir is Singapore’s oldest reservoir. The reservoir was completed in 1868 by impounding water from an earth embankment, and was then known as the impounding Reservoir or Thomson Reservoir. Anchored by Singapore’s largest reservoir – part of the water catchment system that captures rain water – the park and nature reserve at the very heart of Singapore is a popular destination for runners, water sports enthusiasts, and nature lovers.
Take an exhilarating walk around the 11-kilometre nature trail loop known as MacRitchie Trails, located within the tropical rainforest of Central Catchment Nature Reserve. You will likely bump into long-tailed monkeys, squirrels and monitor lizards. If you are lucky, you may even encounter colugos (flying lemurs) or owls!
6. Golf courses
The Singapore Island Country Club (Island Location)
An 8-minute drive will get you to The Singapore Island Country Club (Island Location), near the MacRitchie Reservoir. With one of the best driving ranges in the world, you now have a place to hone your golf skills.
Draft Master Plan for Ang Mo Kio and Bishan (2019)
If you don’t originally stay within Ang Mo Kio or Bishan, you’ve probably not been kept up with the developments of the areas. But if you’re purchasing a unit at AMO Residences, here are some good news.
